Overview 課程介紹&辦學宗旨	This course is designed to provide participants with the ability to implement skills to research, analyse and interpret traditional Chinese classics to understand the concepts in the traditional Chinese classics as they apply to society. It will provide participants with a range of knowledge, and skills to implement analytical skills to interpret the literal and profound metaphorical message of Confucian narratives and historical documents (the Book of Songs, Book of Documents, Book of Changes, Book of Rites and the Spring and Autumn Annals) and apply the philosophies into contemporary society as well as develop and apply advanced traditional Chinese music skills. Participants will also be able to design and develop lectures on scriptures or sutras according to traditional Chinese methodologies.
Entry Requirements 入學要求	1. Provide notarized (English translated) Year 12 Certificate in Australia (Senior High School Certificate) or an overseas equivalent qualification recognized by an accrediting authority. 2. Have attained fluency in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Mandarin. 3. Be able to recite by memory 《弟子規》《太上感應篇》《十善業道經》《大學》《中庸》and《孝經》in Mandarin. 4. Complete the English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS). 5. Attend an online workshop, and pass the academic and virtues assessment given by the Department of Sinology Studies. If the applicant is from an English-speaking background and can demonstrate sufficient intermediate English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, then completion of ELICOS is not required.
