Overview
課程介紹

In this fully accredited course, students will learn how to apply the knowledge in The Four Books:
1. Analects《論語》
2. Doctrine of the Mean《中庸》
3. Great Learning《大學》
4. Mencius《孟子》

By developing an understanding of the Four Books through a structured learning approach, students will become proficient at analysing the synopsis, original texts, annotations, and commentaries of the Four Books. 
Entry Requirements
入學要求

1. Provide notarized (English translated) Junior High School
Certificate [Year 10 Certificate in Australia] or an overseas
equivalent qualification recognized by an accrediting authority.
2. Have attained fluency in listening, speaking, reading and
writing in Mandarin.
3. Be able to recite by memory 弟⼦規，感應篇，⼗善業道經
and 孝經 in Mandarin.
4. Complete the English Language Intensive Course for
Overseas Students (ELICOS)*.
5. Attend an online workshop, and pass the academic and
virtues assessment given by the Department of Sinology
Studies.
*If the applicant is from an English-speaking background and
can demonstrate sufficient English reading, writing, listening
and speaking skills, then completion of ELICOS is not required.
An academic IELTS score is not required.
Mode of Delivery
授課方式		 1. Face-to-face on-campus delivery
2. 20 hours per week consisting of lectures, supervised tutorials and projects, and online training / video / blended learning. 
3. International students must undertake full-time face-to-face study only.

Career Prospects
就業前景		 1. Take your Sinology studies to a higher level.
2. Assist in teaching a variety of Sinology programs in Australian language schools where a higher education degree is not required.
3. Develop Sinology programs, especially in conjunction with teaching, at Australian* or overseas language schools.
4. Be an instructor or counsellor of traditional Chinese culture and values.
* Some employment positions might also require other teaching qualifications like
TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
